SCCM SQL Query – Count Computers by Model

If you are using Configuration Manager and want to run an SQL query on your database to count the number of different models you have in your organisation, you can use this SQL query below using SSRS to create a custom report:

select  
 model0,  
 count(*)  
from  
 dbo.v_GS_COMPUTER_SYSTEM CS,  
 dbo.v_FullCollectionMembership FCM  
where CS.ResourceId = FCM.ResourceId  
 and CollectionID = 'SMS00001'  
group by  
 model0
