If you want to add a YouTube Subscribe button directly on to your website or blog so that visitors can just click it and immediately subscribe to your videos without even having to go to your YouTube Channel, then this guide is for you.

Instructions

So how do you do it? all you need is a simple piece of code to add to your website and also you need to know your unique channel ID. We will start with the code and explain what parts you will need to change to point your new subscribe button to your own YouTube Channel.

Code

<script src="https://apis.google.com/js/platform.js"></script>
<div class="g-ytsubscribe" data-channelid="UCtEuFj1SMLiuRoucD1hv8dA" data-count="default" data-layout="full">

From this you can see that the part of the code that you need to edit is the data-channelid=”xxx” part.

Identifying your own YouTube Channel ID

To make the code work you will need to replace the data-channelid from what ours is in the sample code to your own – but how? the answer is very simple.
Go to your own YouTube channel and take a look in your web browsers address bar, you should see something similar to this:

The seemingly jumbled up numbers and letters after the channel/ are your YouTube Channel unique ID. Once you have found this, you can copy it and then use this ID to replace our ID in the sample code above.

Then, all you need to do is place this code into your website or blog where you want your subscribe button and it will then appear.

YouTube Thumbnails

Now you have your YouTube channel up and running, you will want to ensure that you are using excellent thumbnails to attract visitors to watch your video content. We recommend using an excellent iOS app called Thumbnail Maker & Creator from Content Arcade Ltd. This simple to use app allows you to select a template, choose your backgrounds and has some excellent options for text and images.

But this app is not just limited to YouTube thumbnails, you can create thumbnails for a whole bunch of social and media platforms.

Just take a visit to the iOS store page for Thumbnail Maker & Creator here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/thumbnail-maker-creator/id1418859047
