We believe that VLC Player is the best media player available on the internet at the moment and has been for some time, but there is no MSI installer for it. MSI installers can be used easily for distribution using systems like Configuration Manager, WDS or Group Policy.

So, we have taken the standalone version of VLC Player v2.2.0 and created an MSI installer from it.

You can download the file from our SourceForge project site and when there are updates, we will carry on to create the MSI installers to match.

VLC Player v2.2.0.msi /q /norestart

Configuration Manager

  1. Hi,

first of all thanks for the msi installer. Do u have made any changes to the standard installation? For example deactivating auto-update information? Or do u know how to deactivate it for deployments on many clients?

    thx a lot. kind regards
