If you want to report on the versions of your ConfigMgr clients that you have within your Configuration Manager environment then you can run this query directly on your SQL database or you can use it to create a report within SSRS.

How to create a Configuration Manager Report using SSRS

The query is below and can be altered to fit your own needs by adding columns and tables if or where required.

select
SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceID,
SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceType,
SMS_R_SYSTEM.Name,
SMS_R_SYSTEM.SMSUniqueIdentifier,
SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceDomainORWorkgroup,
SMS_R_SYSTEM.Client
from
SMS_R_System
where
SMS_R_System.ClientVersion = “5.00.7804.1000”

You can change the “5.00.7804.1000” to whichever version you want to search for and you can also change the “=” sign to either “<” or “>” for less than or greater than.

select
SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceID,
SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceType,
SMS_R_SYSTEM.Name,
SMS_R_SYSTEM.SMSUniqueIdentifier,
SMS_R_SYSTEM.ResourceDomainORWorkgroup,
SMS_R_SYSTEM.Client
from
SMS_R_System
where
SMS_R_System.Client is null
