We recently had a problem involving Java 7 update 55 where when added to the software catalog, users were getting the error messages as below upon installation:

“Neither command line parameter specified is an existing directory.”

We did some research and found out that the installer that we were using was not correct for standalone or offline installation.

To fix this, we have added the offline file links below for you to download and extract the MSI from them.

Please note that the download you require is based on your browser version – please do not confuse this with your Operating System version. Java client is based on what version of Internet Explorer you are using, be it 32-bit or 64-bit, so choose wisely!

You can then successfully use these files to add Java Client 7 Update 55 to your Applications within SCCM.
