We recently came across an issue where Google Drive would not install on rebuilt machines or synchronise on existing installations. After finding out the issue was related to the web security proxy we needed to add the Google Drive exceptions to the whitelist for the web proxy.
Thinking that adding “drive.google.com” was enough, we went ahead and added this to the whitelist but it made no difference but eventually, we found the full list of URL’s that you need to add to your proxy whitelists.
So, below is the full list that you should whitelist:
- accounts.google.com
- clients3.google.com
- drive.google.com
- www.googleapis.com
- ssl.gstatic.com
- docs.google.com
- googleusercontent.com
Once you have added these to your whitelist you should find that Google Drive starts to work fully again.
